Sade SANCHEZ joue de la guitare et chante dans le groupe californien L.A. WITCH. La voici aux commandes d’une Mixtape d’été pour Rock à la Casbah.

Fondé en 2011 par Sade SANCHEZ et Irita PAI, L.A. WITCH est un girl band originaire de Los Angeles dont la section rhythmique a très rapidment été assurée par la batteuse Ellie ENGLISH. Leur rock garage oscille entre le psych folk et le blues lo-fi. Leur dernier album DOGGOD est sorti en 2025 sur le label Californien Suicide Squeeze Records qui les suit depuis leur débuts, et célèbre comme son nom l'indique la pureté de la race canine qu'elles élèvent au rang de quasi divinité. Avant Sade, il y a quelques années, Ellie avait déjà composé une mixtape. Cette fois-ci, c'est donc Sade qui s'est prêtée au jeu et nous a proposé une savoureuse playliste, très coldwave-electro-indie-power pop-shoegaze.

It's always a bit difficult to come up with a playlist for me, especially one consisting of less than an hours worth of music. But i'm happy to share this slightly miscellaneous mix of music that I've been listening to lately. It's summer in Paris for me and there is a bit of a lightness in the air. A kind of peacefulness. At the same time there's a feeling of void. Everyone is on vacation and the streets are more empty than usual. It makes me a bit sad and I dont know why. This playlist kind of describes that feeling for me. It's an also stuff that I think might be a little less common so it's a way for me to share my taste and music that others may not be super familiar with.
