#MIXTAPE - HATER (semaine du 6 juillet 2026)

Cette semaine, c’est le groupe Suédois Hater (Fire records) qui se prête au jeu de la mixtape pour Rock à la Casbah.
Le quatuor indie pop scandinave Hater vient de mettre fin à une pause de trois ans avec la sortie de Mosquito, un album de dream pop intriguant et captivant d’introspection. Hater affine sur ce 4 eme opus ses racines shoegaze tendant vers plus de mélodie. L'album regorge d'histoires à rebondissements mythiques. Il y est question de vampires, de Cupidon ou encore de moustiques, le tout sous-tendu par une nostalgie mélancolique du véritable amour. C’est le label anglais Fire records qui les suit une fois de plus sur cette sortie. pour cette playslite c’est le groupe qui s’est penché sur la sélection.

2 - Ewan – The Radio Dept.
The best band to ever come out of Malmö (or Lund). When we got the question to support them when we had just released our first EP, Radius, in 2017 it was a dream coming true. They have such high integrity and are at the same time so nice. Ewan is one of their early gems.
3 - It’s a Dream – Neil Young
If you only could listen to one artist for the rest of your life it would be Neil Young. Enough said.
4 - Kick The Tragedy – Drop Nineteens
A song to remind you of all the cool rock bands out there.
5 - The River – Michael Farneti
This is a perfect song, so beautiful. Nothing else Michael Farneti has done sounds like it.
6 - Hedgesitting – Cola
Ought was such a good band. We had the privilege to play a couple of shows with them in 2018. Their new band Cola is also great and this is one of the top tracks of their new album.
7 - If This Is Love – Millie Jackson
There is always a need for a really nice soul song on every mixtape.
8 - 2 Kool 2 Be 4-Gotten – Lucinda Williams
One of the best voices and songwriters.
9 - Fluent Stutter – Deki Alem
Great hip-hop from Gothenburg.
10 - Something Strange – Whitney K
One of the many great artists on Fire Records.
11 - JPN – Mari 3000
We are sharing rehearsal space with Mari 3000 in Malmö. Whey are such a well kept secret and I believe they want to have it that way. Don't listen to this song and don't try to find them online please.
