Pour bien commencer la saison, rien de mieux qu’une séance de rattrapage. All clouds bring not rain, deuxième album (si l’on met de côté des B.O de films obscurs) de MEMORIALS, avait échappé à nos radars printaniers. Grâce à ses nombreuses qualités musicales, le voici alors vedette de la semaine à la Casbah.
Composé de Verity SUSMAN (co-fondatrice de l'excellent combo féminin de Brighton ELECTRELANE, actuellement en long stand-by) et de Matthew SIMMS (qui a rejoint les indéboulonnables WIRE au milieu des années 2010), le duo MEMORIALS revisite le psychédélisme en alternant bombinettes rythmiques (dignes de BROADCAST à l'école de Canterbury) et balades spectrales (tendance NICO dans des champs brumeux).
